2022 has just ended. It was a busy year not only for Proxyman but also for me as an indie developer. This is to rewind what I and the team have done and all the lessons we have learned (so far) from this incredible journey. Hope it might be helpful for those who want to build your own app.

2022 Recap

Proxyman:

• Legally establish Proxyman LLC in Delaware, US
• Hire & Grow Proxyman Remote Team to 3.
• Start working on the Windows + Linux app.
• Redesign the website & App Icons.
• The macOS & iOS apps are more stable than ever.
• Make ~$411k in revenue: ~$380k (Paddle) ~$19k(Setapp) and ~$12k (iOS AppStore). 230% growth as compared to the previous year.
• ~8% operation cost (excluding salary): Including 6% from Paddle Transaction Fee, 2% for other services, AWS, Cloudflare, Google, Github, Domain, etc
• ~11k unique daily user, 37k unique monthly users.
• Start sponsoring iOS Community Contributors: Donny Wals, Sarun, Jordan Morgan, Natascha Fadeeva

Personal:

• Graduate from RMIT University (Dropped the first university 8 years ago)
• Get married to my soulmate ❤️
• Leave Saigon and relocate to Da Nang City.
• Learn Surfing 🏄‍♂️
• Exp Unlocked: Surgery Operation with anesthesia 😅
